Pierce
Vernon Family Ties
Apparently Washington Pierce, with his older sons and other family members, came to Grayson County Texas sometime after 1841 (in 1841 Washington purchased land in Jefferson County from Rosannah SKAGGS, the widow of Jeremiah SKAGGS, so he obviously didn't leave until after that) but before 1850, as he is on the 1850 Grayson County Texas Federal Census. The following deals with records found in Grayson County that are or appear to be, about Washington Pearce/Purce/Perse (sic) and his family.
