Jane was born at Wulfhall in Wiltshire and came to court as a maid-of-honor to Anne Boleyn. Jane Seymour and Henry VIII were formally betrothed and on the 30th May 1536 they were married.
Unlike Henry's previous two Queens, Jane never had a coronation. Early in 1537 Jane became pregnant and in October, a prince was born at Hampton Court Palace and was christened Edward on 15th October. Mary, daughter of Catherine of Aragon, was godmother and Elizabeth, daughter of Anne Boleyn, also played a role in the ceremony.
Jane died on 24th October 1537, just two weeks after her son was born. Henry had already been preparing his own tomb at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle which is where Jane was buried. In the end, she would be the only of Henry's six wives to be buried with him. The tomb can be seen today marked by a black slab of marble.

Katherine was born either in Lambeth or Horsham in Sussex by her grandmother the third Duchess of Norfolk. She was a first cousin of Anne Boleyn and came to court as a lady-in-waiting to Anna of Cleves.
Henry VIII married Katherine in 1540 at Oatlands Palace in Surrey. She was never crowned and was tried for High Treason in 1542. Found guilty Katherine was beheaded on Tower Green and buried along side her cousin Anne in the Royal Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula in The Tower of London.

[1328] In 1553, Framlingham castle was given by King Edward VI to his sister Mary Tudor. She stayed at Framlingham while waiting her sucession to the crown, which hung in the balance. Her colours flew over the gateway and thousands of her supporters camped around the castle. The Earl of Arundel arrived to inform her she was Queen, and later the Duke of Norfolk was released from the Tower to return to his estates.
