Mrs. Josephine Steszewski

Mrs. Josephine Steszewski, 8809 W. Colfax Ave., Detroit, Mich., a former

South Bend resident, died Wednesday in the home of her daughter and son

in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kloss, with whom she had made her home for 18

years. Born in Poland March 8, 1873, she lived in South Bend 50 years

before moving to Detroit. Surviving besides Mrs. Kloss are a son,

Anthony, South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Eufronzyna Pochowicz, in Poland;

three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call

after 7 p.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be

held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Hedwige's Catholic Church. Rev. Boleslaus

J. Sztuczko, C.S.C, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph

Polish Cemetery. Mrs. Steszewski was a member of the Daughters of

Poland Society 21, Polish Women's Alliance of America and the Women's

Holy Rosary Society of St. Hedwige's Church.
