"It seems so in Schwennicke's ES 2:76 (Poitou) & 79 (Normandy). This

marriage [Gerloc (Adela) to WILLIAM] is attested by the very slippery

Ademar of Chabannes, in his Chronicle, 3:23 (ed. Chavanon, pp. 143-44).

He says (of William III) 'Acceptamque in conjugium Adelam, filiam Rosi

Rotomagensis, genuit ex ea Willelmum...' Rotomagensis is Rouen, and it

seems that 'Rosus' is close enough to Rollo, so there you have it. It's

also in Ancestral Roots. Where is the name 'Gerloc' found in the early

sources?"
