Groby.
Cokayne's "Complete Peerage" (Ferrers of Groby, pp. 344-347). In 1325
he was with the future King Edward III in France. He was one of the
"Disinherited" who took part in Edward de Balliol's invasion of Scotland
in 1332. He was appointed one of the joint Keepers of the Channel
Islands and Keeper of Berwick-on-Tweed. He served the King in Scotland
and was Justice of co. Chester. From 1336 to 1340 he was the King's
Chamberlain, attending him in Flanders.
