King of Toulouse & Aquitaine. Probably actually a sub-king accountable to his brother, Dagobert I, the last of the great Merovingian kings of France to reign before the era of the "do-nothing" kings.

A line of descent from him to the dukes of Toulouse, Aquitaine, and Gascony and of the royal houses of Spain has been proposed, but found to be totally unsubstantiated at many points.
