Christopher Nash posted to GEN-MEDIEVAL on 9 Feb 2000:
. "The error or discrepancy appears to come from AR7. The authors have
used one of two ages presented for Edmund. CP IX:281 gives his age
(apparently from Inq. p, m. of father) as aged 30 or more in 1282 or aged
40 and more in 1301 (from Inq. p. m. of mother). There is no
chronological problem if the former age range is used. These ages are
frequently imprecise as evidenced above and the authors failed to give
consideration to a birthdate for Edmund which would answer the
discrepancy in Inq. p.m. ages or the chronological dilemma you have
clearly presented."
