He was ancestor of the lords FitzHugh of Ravensworth; brother of Bodin,

who held Ravensworth, Mickleton, Romandkirk, etc. in Domesday Book

1086.

From Cokayne's "Complete Peerage", in the article on Richmond, we are

told that Bardolf was one of 4 illighitimate sons of EUDES. Bardolf

inherited a portion of the lands of his brother (also illigitimate), Bodin,

who was an important tenant of ALAIN LE NOIR, EARL OF RICHMOND

(RIN 1027), their nephew.
