Anna immigrated to the United States from Austria in 1888 along with her husband, George and their baby boy, Frank.

Following is Anna's obituary from the 30 Apr 1934 edition of the "South Bend Tribune":

. Mrs. Anna Goepfrich, aged 72, of 1634 Sibley avenue, died at 9:50 o'clock Sunday morning in her residence after six weeks' illness. She was an aunt of Rev. Frances J. Wenninger, C.S.C., head of the college of science at the University of Notre Dame. Born in Austria, Dec 25, 1861, she came here 47 years ago . Surviving are five sons, Frank, George, Joseph, Rudolph and Anthony Goepfrich, and four daughters, Mrs. George Resnick, Mrs. Elton P. Crepeau, Miss Rose Goepfrich and Miss Madeline Goepfrich, all of this city. The body will lie in the residence and the funeral will take place from St. Mary's Roman Catholic church. The requiem mass will be sung by Rev. Father Wenninger, and internment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
