Weis' "Ancestral Roots. . ." (103A:24). Steven Runciman's "History of the Crusades" is in error regarding his parentage.

Runciman shows Baldwin of le Bourg, Count of Rethel and Ida, dau. of EUSTACE I, COUNT OF BOULOGNE (RIN 3875) as Hugh's parents. If this were true, His son, Baldwin II, King of Jerusalem, and Baldwin I, King of Jerusalem (RIN 5350*), would have been cousins.
