That he was son of HUGH and BURGOGNE is per a GEN-MEDIEVAL posting of

Alan Wilson, who was using ES as a source.

Younger than Amalric II; In c1180 came to Palestine; In 1183 Guy

quarrelled with Baldwin IV, King of Jerusalem (RIN 7285*); in 1187 he

and his br Amalric were taken prisoner when defeated at Horns of Hattin

by Salidin; in 1188 both released on their promise to return home, but

Guy had a cleric release them from their oaths; in 1189-91 at siege of

Acre; in 1191 led King Richard's army in Cyprus conquest; in 1192

Richard acceded to Conrad's claim to kingdom of Jerusalem and in

compensation made Guy king of Cyprus (CONRAD was immediately

murdered).

There is a member submitted LDS IGI record for David Mansfield:

born: 1791, Newburyport, Essex Co., Massachusetts. No parents listed.

marrried: 10 JUL 1817, Newburyport, Essex Co., Massachusetts, to Abigail Francis.

died: JUN 1839.

I suspect the above birth year is incorect as there is an IGI record extracted from public records:

12 JUN 1789, Newburyport, Essex Co., Massachusetts. Parents: David Mansfield & Sally.

Per member submitted LDS IGI records, the father of children Albert & John is given as David Mansfield Jr., implying, obviously, that his father was also named David.

We know he was probably dead in 1850 as his wife is enumerated with her son's household in the census for that year. He & Abigail had children in 1822, 1828, 1829, 1834, & 1837, so he could not have died before 1836. Abigail was 45 in 1837, so she could have been at the end of her childbearing years. It would be hard to know if the reason there were no more children was because of that or rather because David had died. So we can narrrow David's death date to 1836 - 1850.
