"Marie Montferrat = Jean Brienne on 15 September 1210, according to
Sir Steven Runciman's History of The Crusades III 133; or, on 14 Sept
1209 according to Pere Anselme VI 133. She is mentioned by Pere
Anselme VI 133, as the daughter of Conrad and Isabelle. Weis, page 83,
confirms this, as well as her marriage to Jean. Marie was voted as
'Successor to the Crown' by the barons of Jerusalem in 1205 (Runcimas
III 133). Marie and Jean have at least two daughters. The name of one
is
Yolonda, and she married Frederich II King Sicily. She is known as
Yoland
Brienne, Queen of Jerusalem, or Yolanda of Acre (Pere Anselme VI 133).
She died in the throes of childbirth, delivering Conrad IV Luxembourg on
08 May 1228."
