No birth certificate is available for her as Illinois did not begin

recording births until 1878 -about a decade after she was born.

The Mclean County Historical society searched for a record of her birth

in the county index, but found none.

Have marriage certificate for RODNEY THOMPSON and Mattie Ellen Castle

in McLean Co., Illinois on 20 Jan 1889. He is shown to be age 48; she 22

On the birth certificate for her daughter, HANNAH, Martha's birthplace

and residence is listed as Anchor, Illinois.
