Notes

"Stone Sloops of Chebeague" (1949), chart p. 138. Page 139 tells us: "He

came from Limington, Maine. He married Sarah Upton of Chebeague. He was

a fine carpenter and mechanic - built the church, and was able to accept

large contracts from the government for lighthouse building and all up annd

down the Atlantic coast." In addition to the natural children, the chart

states that Isaac and Sarah had an adopted son - Ammi Hamilton. On the

Hamilton chart referenced (p.108). This would appear to be Ambrose

Hamilton (RIN 11180).

"Cheny Family Tree" on Ancestry.com gives additional children and vital

statistics and states:

. "He enlisted March 12, 1848 at Lawrence, Mass. in the war with Mexico.

He was a builder of Lighthouses, also built the church on Chebeaque Island

next to the Cemetery where he and his family are buried."
