Says that John had 2 brothers & 5 sisters. He was never naturalized. He moved to Cape Wolf about 1832 [trivia: Cape Wolf is the westernmost point on PEI.]. John & Margaret had 8 children:
. Matilda Ann (1828-___).
. Maria (1830-1877) m. James S. Crossman. 2 children [4 per 1881 census].
. Ebenezer (1832 - 1912) m. Mary Currie. 13 children.
. Thomas Kinley (1836-1906) m. Elizabeth "Betsey" Sensebaugh. 8 children.
. James Henry (1848-1932) m. Eliza Knight. 6 children.
The remaining 3 children are not named. The "Crosman Family File" has more detail than I have put in these notes and had extensive descendency information.
I located John's headstone at the Cape Wolfe United Church Cemetery where he shares a headstone with his wife. It is inscribed: "In memory of John Crosman, 1799-1879, and his wife, Margaret Kinley, 1799-1875, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord - Godkin".
