Notes

In 1063, CYNAN ap IAGO (RIN 2577), king of Gwynedd and Powys, was

killed. His rightful heir, GRUFFUDD (RIN 2575) was only 8 years old and

living in Ireland with his mother. At that time Rhiwallon assumed

control of the kingdom of Powys and his brother, BLEDDYN, asumed

control of the kingdom of Gwynedd . Rhiwallon was killed in a skirmish

in 1070. At that time, apparently, Powys was again joined to Gwynedd.
