Marie M. Jegier

Marie M. Jegier, 75, of 4510 W. Washington St., died at 4:06 p.m. Monday

in her home. Mrs. Jegier was a former housekeeper at the University of

Notre Dame. She was born Aug. 15, 1913, in South Bend, and was a

lifelong area resident. As Marie Niespodziany, in South Bend, she

married Edmund Jegier. He died in 1964. She is survived by two sons,

Ronald E. And Thomas J., both of South Bend; four grandchildren; and two

brothers, Casimir Nies of South Bend and Leonard Nies of Phoenix, Ariz.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Casimir's Catholic Church.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9

p.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary

will be said at 7:30 p.m.
