Evans's "The Origin of the Habsburgs" (The Genealogist, 1980) says:

Dagobert I through his mother. If so, Levillain considers it likely that
Erchonald was a son of Garnier, major domus, by Berthe, daughter of King
Clotaire II by Bertethrud... Ebling believes that Adalric-Eticho was son of
another Duke Adalric of the pagus Attoariensis (Dijon), son of Duke
Amalgar of the same region by Aquilina, daughter of Duke Wandelin of
the Besancon by Flavia. Dupraz notes the possibility that Flavia might
have belonged to the great aristocratic family of the Syagrii."
Settipani's "La prehistoire des Capetiens" alludes to his descent from
ERCHINOALD, and thus seems to accept that version, as do most other
