. "My g-grandmother was Mary Polly Abner Bartlett. She married Enos after Malinda Abner died in 1860 , so some of the children you have listed couldn't be hers. I believe she only had Milton, Perry and my grandmother Laura. One was born in Indiana, other son in Missouri and Laura in Chetopa Kansas. I would be interested in the manuscript written in 1981 by Lois Willet of Texas. Also, I don't know about Alice b. and d in 1875, because Enos died June 12, 1874 only 3 days after my grandmother Laura was born. I have the Enos Bible, but her birthday is unclear, so I'm not sure of her date, but I know she told me he died when she was very young.ÊHow did Alice come about in 1875, if he died in 1874???

ÊMy brother, cousin and I went to Kansas to the Fair view cemetery where Enos and Mary Polly were buried, but no stone was ever placed at their graves, the newspaper in Chetopa listed her death and where she was buried.

. Enos married 3 times:

. (1) Mary Snowden. She died in childbirth and is buried in Standiford Cemetery.

. (2) Malinda Abnee, b. 1828, d. 1860. Children:

. (3) Polly (Mary) Abnee, sister of 2nd wife. Children:

In the above note concerning the Lois Willet information, notice that, among the children of Polly (Mary) Abnee, the last two were born in 1874 & 1875 while Jeffery, our ancestor, was born about 1800. Clearly this is impossible. He was obviously of the previous generation and was a brother to Enos rather that a son.
