mother are said to have been already deceased at the time of STELLA's
death on 24 March 1913.
N.L. Kentucky IGI.
Gerlaw Cemetery in Warren Co. Ill had a tombstone for W.J. Miller July
20, 1825 - May 7, 1895 father / Mary C. May 20, 1824 - Nov. 11, 1904
mother.
There are also stones for two of their daughters in the same cemetery :
Cora A., died 20 Feb 1886, age 21y 3m 6d [this would make her born in
1864] and Constance B., died 26 May 1861, age 2m 7d. As William's
daughter, STELLA, was born less than a year before Cora, it is almost
certain that MARY C. was STELLA's mother also.
I have a copy of William's will, filed 11 May 1895 in Warren Co. Illinois,
will book 5, p 78 & 79. He leaves his wife, Mary C. Miller, the house and
5 lots situated in the village of Gerlaw, to have and hold during her
lifetime, along with all the household furnishings. He also left her the
interest on $10,000 which had been set aside for that purpose. He
further stipulated that upon Mary's death, everything, including the
$10,000, was to be divided equally among his children:
William J. Miller Jr.
Newton B. Miller
Frederick Miller
Willard (J.T, or F) Miller
a son - S_____ Miller
STELLA ISAACS.
