"Stone Sloops of Chebeague" (1949), chart, pp.110 & 114. Sarah was the

mother of the oldest child, Sumner, so she would have also been the

mother of all the younger children. Page 107 tells that he was called "Uncle

Ab". Page 67 lists him with the crew of the stone sloop "Active" under his

brother Simeon as captain. Page 89 lists him as part owner of the stone

sloop "Rocky Mountain, 1882-1891.

Per Cockayne's "Complete Peerage" (Roger de Toeni IV), she brought to

her husband in free marriage the manor of Ailrichescot (South Tawton)

in Devon. She seems to have enjoyed considerable influence and to have

enjoyed favour with KING JOHN (RIN 785) (her 2nd cousin). Her Norman

lands were confiscated by KING PHILIP AUGUSTUS. After her husband

died in 1208/9, Strtatfield was restored to her. In 1226, she was living

accross the seas [i.e. in Normandy].
