Cokayne's "Complete Peerage" (Derby, p. 202), identifies him ans
ELEANOR as ElEANOR's parents.
He was the only important marcher lord who fought with Simon de
Montfort, Earl of Leicester (RIN 2884*), at the Battle of Lewes and was
captured and imprisoned at Beeston castle in Cheshire, where he died.
