has a Suibne son of Comman son of Cobthach, compared to the Suibne son

of Colman son of Cobthach of WUD, it is possible that these were the

same individuals. However, since the pedigree of LL.328c is defective

(having apparently allowed several members of the unrelated Dal

nAraidi to intrude into the pedigree by an evident copying mistake), it is

difficult to accept the pedigree prior to Cobthach, the earliest

generation in WUD"

translation of an Irish genealogical tract which was probably

originally written in the first half of the eighth century (with later

additions), giving the ancestry of the wives of several kings of

Leinster (Laigin).

Notes

Weis' "Ancestral Roots. . ." (84:29) identifies her as prob. mother of

Alice. (98:29) identifies her and Roger as parents of Ralph.

Per Cockayne's "Complete Peerage" (Roger de Toeni V), a contract of

marriage between Roger de Toeni, then aged 3, and Alice was confirmed

by KING HENRY III in 1239. The marriage did take place and Alice was

buried in the chapter house of Llanthony Priory outside Gloucester.

However, nothing more is known of Alice, and Roger's marriage was

granted to QUEEN ELEANOR (RIN 784).
