Notes

Torigni calls her Aubree de la Haie without citing any evidence thereof,

but the fact that the abbey of St. Leger-de-Preaux [where her husband,

HUMPHREY, retired to become a monk] was patron of La Haie-Aubree,

arrond. Pont-Audemer, makes it possible that she was connected with

that place.
