Cockayne's "Complete Peerage" (Tuchet, p.53). He held of the Earl of

Chester [Hugh of Avranches (RIN 3101*)] in 1086 the manors of Ashwell,

Rutland, and Mackworth, co. Derby, of which the Tuchets were tenants in

the 13th & 14th centuries.
