J. Horace Round in V.2 of "Peerage and Pedigree", 1970 reprint of the

1910 work, pages 26-27, ridicules "Burke's Peerage" for it's assertation

that Adam's wife was the daughter of a Norman noble named Henry

Stanley of Stonely and demonstrates that no such individual ever

existed.
