Cokayne's "Complete Peerage" (Ferrers of Groby, pp. 351-353). In
1377-1380 he was with the Earl of Buckingham and John of Gaunt, Duke
of Lancaster in their raids into Brittany. In 1385 he accompanied King
Richard II in his invasion of Scotland, being in the main body with the
King.
