The Annals of Ulster say that she and her husband were burnt to death in

Cell Chuile (a church) in 795.

"it is unknown whether or not she [Eithne] was the mother of Bran's son

Muiredach (d. 818), through whom the line of descent proceeds. [Divorce

and remarriage was so common in early medieval Ireland that it was

almost the rule rather then the exception, and it is never permissable to

assume that a known wife of an individual was the mother of his

children, unless there is direct evidence to that effect. That is why the

Ban Shenchus is such a valuable source, as it explicitly names the

mothers of so many individuals, and disentangles so many of the early

marriages and remarriages.]"
