Cokayne's "Complete Peerage" (Basset) states that her husband, RALPH

was slain while fighting against King HENRY III at the Battle of

Eversham in 1265. However, since Margaret's father had faught in the

same battle on THE KING's side, HENRY allowed Margaret and her son to

retain their estates.

"A Genealogy of the Southworths (Southards) by Samuel G. Webber

(1905), [GC 929.2 So 8766w], avail. at the Allen Co. Lib. in Ft. Wayne, IN,

incorrectly gives her mother as Amabel Chaucambre.
