Most of the information was
provided by Anne's mother, Annette. Annette
Hollingworth (Lougheed) can be reached by email at mrlip@olynet.com. She has
boxes of old photos that date back to the late 1800's
and lots of stories that had been passed down. She
provided me a copy of a document relating the origins
of the family in Scotland and there immigration to
Ireland in the 1700's. The Lougheed's were amongst
the early pioneers in the Grays Harbor area of
Washington state. Descendants of those early pioneers
still live in the area and gather each year in early
August at Schafer State Park near Montesano for a
large family reunion.
