Harold was nicknamed "Bunka" and this name lasted his whole life. He attended 28^th Street grade school in Los Angeles. He then went to Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, California. Next he attended the University of Southern California Dental College for one year. He went in the United States Navy from 1917 to 1919 where he was a Gunnersmate First Class on a Destroyer the USS Ringold during World War I. He was a Salesman and Sales Manager for Blake Moffitt & Towne and later became a full time Property Owner and Manager. He was an active member of the Lions Club and Power Squadron in Santa Monica. General Notes: Wife -

Carolyn was born on September 26, 1901 in Jackson, Minnesota. Her father was Herman John Elmer and he married Mary Schaefer on February 4, 1896. Her brother was Bill Uerkwitz who was born on November 25, 1896. She had two sisters- Betty Esther and Hannah Ida Jean. Carolyn also called "Snookums" married Harry Brown in 1920 in Little Rock, Arkansas. They were divorced in 1932. She attended grade school in Streator, Illinois at Miss Lockhart Private School. Then she attended High School with seven other pupils in Little Rock, Arkansas for four years. She was baptized in the First Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas and has attended a religious science church in Long Beach, California. She was a salesperson and a home maker throughout her life. Carolyn was an active republican in the Republican Club in Leisure World and was a teller of jokes. She was also married to Harold James Whisnand who she describes as a wonderful husband. And later in life she married Alexander Reichman. She was buried in Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.

My father was born in Sckwerin, Mecklenberg, Germany on February 16, 1872. He died June of 1944 in Los Angeles Hospital. He had asthma badly and caughed so much it weakened his heart, his Doctor said. (Carolyn)

"Once Millard got in a fight with 'cross-eyed Tommy,' Uncle Sam's boy [this Uncle Sam is Thomas Samuel Westmoreland] and Tommy cut his stomach open with a knife. Of course Millard, though he didn't die, was in bed for a long time and was afraid to go out even when he got well. Finally one night when there was going to be a big party, he said, 'I'm going to that party, even if I have to bring my insides home in a bucket.'"

Obit: Emma Westmoreland was born July 17 1866, in Alabama, and moved to Johnson County in 1880. She died July 26, 1903; was married to T. B. Westmoreland November 24, 1882; she professed religion when 15 years old and joined the church of which she was a member when she died. Emma Westmoreland was a good Christian woman and was loved by all who knew her. She leaves a mother, two sisters, a husband and four children to mourn their loss. Weep not for her, loved ones, for our loiss is her eternal gain, and may her relatives and friends try to follow her example and live so that when the death angel comes we can say as she did. "I am willing to go." May the Lord help us all to live a true Christian life so we can meet our dear friends in a better world than this.
