COLUMBIA, S.C. - Funeral service for Mrs. ANNIE Belle Neathery ROBERTS, 95, of Columbia, was held Saturday, August 18, 2001, at the graveside in Creedmoor Cemetery, Creedmoor, N.C., conducted by the Rev. Ben Rouse. Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Lillington United Methodist Church, Lillington, N.C.

Mrs. ROBERTS, widow of John Lucius ROBERTS, died Wednesday, August 15, 2001. Born in Creedmoor, N.C., she was a daughter of the late James Richard Neathery and Minta Marvin Cook Neathery Mangum. Mrs. ROBERTS was a member of Lillington United Methodist Church. Mrs. ROBERTS was formerly of Creedmoor, N.C., and Lillington, N.C., moving to Columbia to be with her daughter in 1986.

Survivors are a son, Jan Wayne ROBERTS of Columbia; a daughter, Minta Laura ROBERTS Wade of Columbia; five grandchildren, Ronald Earl Wade, Laura Ann Wade-Evans, John Walter Wade, Julie Page ROBERTS, and John Thomas ROBERTS; three great-grandchildren, Emily Annette Wade, Minta Elizabeth Evans, and Catherine Leigh Wade; and sister Lubie Waller of Durham, N.C. She was predeceased by a sister, Mamie Morris; and a brother, Marvin Neathery

DURHAM - Lula Nan Nelms, 69, died Friday, April 8, 2005 in Durham.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Stem Community Cemetery in Stem. The family will receive friends after the service in Stem.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Living Word Baptist Church, PO Box 1172, Creedmoor, 27522.
A native of Stem, and formerly of Winter Park, FL, she had lived in Durham for the last several years at Eno Pointe Assisted Living Center and Treyburn Healthcare Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan Norfleet Nelms and Grace Veasey Nelms; a brother, Samuel Gray Nelms; a sister, Selma Nelms Barnes; and her nephew, Crayton Gray Nelms.

Family-Placed Death Notice

Mrs. Myrtle Barnes of Atlanta died Tuesday, July 11, 2006. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Morris and Loutricia Barnes of Snellville; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A. S. Turner & sons at 12 Noon Thursday, July 13th, Rev. Doug Meeks, Mrs. Pat Meeks, Mr. Kevin Barnes and Mr. Horace Flemming officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. in Rosehill Cemetery, Royston, GA. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions to American Hospice.
