Elmer C. Morris, 69, of Morgantown died April 24, 2008, at a Morgantown nursing home.

The Butler County native was a lumberjack laborer and a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Ewin Morris and Viola Renfrow Morris.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Morris of Ohio; three sons, Jamie, Dewayne and Dale Morris, all of Ohio; several grandchildren; a sister, Lorene Butler of Wooster, Ohio; a brother, Earl Morris of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Hazel Morris of Morgantown.

Burial was in New Liberty Cemetery

Virgil York Sorenson, age 87, passed away February 28, 1995 in a West Valley City hospital after a long illness. Born December 15, 1907 in Provo, Utah, son of Edward Martin and Belva Fern York Sorenson. Married Elsie Morris December 16, 1935 in Provo, Utah; later divorced. Married LaVon Lambert December 25, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a member of International Association of Iron Workers, local #27.Survived by wife, LaVon, West Valley City; daughter, Wynne (Frank) Hawkins, San Jose, Calif.; son, Todd V. On September 1909, William Thomas & His brother Burrill McClellan Tippy we re placed in the care of Henry W. Thurston, Superintendant of the Childrens Home & Aid Society at Carterville, IL. Their parents Hosea & Fannie(Claxton)Tippy could not care for them due to poverty and illness. My great grandmother Pearl Anna Tippy who was an older sister to these boys was placed in the care of some family friends by the last name of Haley who lived in Marion, IL. Burrill McClellan Tippy was adopted by Mr & Mrs Lewis Baker of Lerna, IL. His name then became Burrill Austin Baker, He was known to me as uncle Austin. Pearl & Austin were reunited in Marion, IL in 1937. William Thomas Tippy was adopted in October 1910 by a man named Frank Hatfield of 10014 Ewing avenue, Eastside, Chicago, Cook Co, IL. Pearl and Austin searched for their brother William until 1980 but were unsuccessful

"ASHTABULA - Lloyd V. Morris, age 49, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. Born April 29, 1959, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was a son of Rodney and Dorothy (Farr) Morris and a 1978 graduate of Riverside High School. He has resided in Ashtabula for fourteen years, coming from Painesville. Lloyd had worked with Premier Transporation in Geneva, and had owned and operated his moving company, "Morris Moving", in Ashtabula. He was a collector of Elvis paraphernalia and enjoyed golfing and was a big NASCAR fan. Survivors include his wife, Debby (Spade) Morris, whom he married August 13, 1994; three sons, Christopher Morris, Joshua Morris and Timothy (Nicole) Braessler, all of Ashtabula; four grandchildren, Jonathan Davilla, Raven Braessler, Tristan Braessler and Starr Braessler; his parents, Rodney and Dorothy Morris of Painesville Township; two brothers, David (Mary-Jo) Morris of Swanton, Ohio and George Morris of Wickliffe; four sisters, Kareen Angeloff of Cortland, Ohio, Sandra (Victor) Beshara and Myrtle (Arthur) Randa, both of Fairport Harbor and Christina Townsend of Bedford, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, George P. Russell; paternal grandparents, John and Marie Morris; and maternal grandparents, Nelson and Jessie FARR . Memorial Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008, at SPEAR-MULQUEENY FUNERAL HOME, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville, with the Rev. Harry Pichura, of the New Life Assembly of God Church in Geneva, officiating. Calling Hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Today, June 12, at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the family."
