DEATH: CYRIL ELWIN MCCLELLAN Cyril Elwin McClellan, 79, of Orem died January 16, 1993, at his home in Orem. His death was due to cancer.
He was born in Provo, July 26, 1913, to Charles Eli and Josephine Haws McClellan. He married Betty Marie Starr in Champaign, Illinois, on June 21, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He was raised and educated in Logan, graduating from Utah State University, later doing graduate work at Michigan State University and the University of Illinois. He worked as an electronics engineer for the Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Maryland. While there, he was awarded 25 patents, he worked on the first radar and received the first National Atomic Energy Award. Later, he worked for Lockheed Missile and Space Company in California, during which time he worked with lasers and their application. From his early years, he was interested in ham radio. His call number was W6TOM. He enjoyed his visits with "hams" internationally and lifelong friendships with those who shared this interest. He was also recently involved with the local community emergency radio network. He was active in the LDS Church and was a High Priest in the Sharon 4th Ward. He served as ward Sunday School president in Baltimore, Maryland; Palo Alto, California; and Orem, Utah. He served a stake mission in California and was a bishop's counselor. He has been Elder's Quorum president, and also, High Priest Group leader.He is survived by his wife of Orem, three children, Marianna and Leon Christensen of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Charles and Jeanette McClellan of Orem; David and Karoleen McClellan of Arvada, Colorado; a sister Mrs. James (Maude) Tyson of Bainbridge Island, Washington; and a brother Lincoln McClellan of Logan. There are also nine grandchildren; three sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 1993, at 11 a.m. in the Sharon 4th Ward Chapel, 730 East 445 South, Orem. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State in Orem, and also Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the ward chapel. Stanford McClellan, age 66, passed away April 17, 1991.
Born December 28, 1924 in Logan to Charles E. and Josephine Haws McClellan. Married Beverley Watson July 16, 1947 in the Logan LDS Temple. Active member of the LDS Church. Graduated from Utah State University. Served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. National commander of the Mormon Battalion. Member of the Scottish Association. Lifelong educator and teacher. He was a specialist in earth quake preparation for Mountain Fuel. He was liked and loved by all those whose lives he touched.Survived by his wife; son, daughters and their spouses, Frank and Candice McClellan; Suzanne and Stephen Roth; Beverly Jo and Russell Plewe; Kathleen and Steven Pontecorvo; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Lincoln and wife, Dorothy, Cyril and wife, Betty; sister, Maude Tyson; mother-in-law, Mabel Watson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Osterhout and Mildred McClellan; brother-in-law, Robert Watson.

Cecil Merl Randall, Succumbs April 10
Cecil Merl Randall was born April 25, 1896 on a farm southeast of Onaga. He died at the Community Hospital in Onaga on April 10, at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 16 days.
He was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Onaga. He attended Lone Tree school and lived in the Onaga community most of his life except for two years in Oklahoma when a child.
Mr. Randall worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for about two years and was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1969 because of cancer.
He was married June 12, 1921 to Anna Elizabeth McCloughan of Havensville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin and Lois E. Randell; a daughter, Vivian Rose Rice, and two brothers, Chester Floyd Randall and George Everet Randall.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Blanchard, Blackwell, Okla.; two brothers, L. B. Randall, Shawnee Mission, and Wallace F. Randall, Seattle, Wash.; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at the First Baptist Church of Onaga with the Rev. Seymour Bruce officiating. Burial was in Onaga Cemetery

OBITUARY THE ONAGA HERALD 2 FEB 1989
Mrs. Anna E. Force, 86, Topeka, died Wednesday January 25, at a Topeka hospital following a heart attack.
She was born June 7, 1902, at Havensville, the daughter of William J. and Sadie E. Pitcher McCloughan, and attended Havensville schools.
Mrs. Force had been a cook at Graf's Cafe and Hewitt Restaurant in Onaga. After she moved to Topeka she was a baker and salad maker for the Senate Cafeteria. She had worked at the Bailey Hotel at Havensville many years ago.
Her first husband, Cecil M. Randel, died in 1978. Her second husband, Ray Force, also preceded her in death. A daughter, Vivian Rose Rice, died in 1978.
Survivors include a daughter, Audrey Maxine Blanchard, Manhattan; a sister, Mrs. Stella Teske, Onaga; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Tessendorf Mortuary in Onaga. Burial was in Havensville cemetery.
