OBITUARY January l, l976 James Jefferson Ward, 66, of l40l Piedmont Park Road, a retired line cr ew foreman with Duke Power Co., died today. A native of Greenville, a son of the late Cicero and Letha Gilbert Ward, he lived all of his life in Greenville, served with the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clara Howard Ward; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Ward Williams of Melbourne, Florida and Mrs. Kay Ward Chastain of Easley; three sisters, Mrs. Catherine Ward Lister and Mrs. Annie Ward Kestner of Greenville, and Mrs. Winnie Ward Watson of Taylors, a brother, Monroe Ward of Greenville; and two grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at a place and hour to be announced. The body is at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P. M. Friday. The family is at the residence. Dorothy H. Westmoreland Clarkston

Dorothy Howard Westmoreland, 82, of 1052 Sans Souci Way died Saturday, Sept. 19, 1998.

A native of Lavonia, Mrs. Westmoreland was a daughter of the late John Nathan and Effie Lee Jenkins Howard and widow of Zelman Westmoreland. She retired from Coats & Clark in Clarkston after some 30 years of service.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Acree-Davis Funeral Home, Toccoa, with the Rev. Charles Savage officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Westmoreland, Pensacola, Escambia Co, FLa., and Joe Avery Westmoreland, Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Zack Westmoreland, Matthew Stowe, Allen Westmoreland, Chad Stowe, and Ralph Stowe.

She is survived by two sons, Clinton Howard of Jasper and John Howard of Corpus Christi; two daughters, Bonnie Marie Gann of Blanco and Mary Sue Lohse of Euless; two brothers, Jackson Roberds of San Antonio and Buster Roberds of Grapevine; one sister, Annie Pearl Merritt of San Antonio; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Three RIvers Cemetery in Three Rivers. Visitation and viewing will be held one hour before service time at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to the Al Amin Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund, 2001 Suntide Rd., Corpus Christi, 78409
