LEO WESTMORELAND

NEW PORT RICHEY, FLA. -- Leo M. Westmoreland, 91, of formerly of Toccoa, Ga., died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, in New Port Richey.

Born in Franklin County, Ga., she was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Ondean Balch; sons, Charles and Jimmy Westmoreland; sister, Hazel Whitehead; brother, Clinton Ayers; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of Ondie Westmoreland and the daughter of the late Isom Goss and Bess Stevenson Ayers. She was preceded in death by her babies, Jeanette and Morris.

Services are at 3 p.m. Monday at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in Toccoa. Interment will be in Stephens Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the funeral hour on Monday.

WILLIS GENE HICKS

Willis Gene Hicks, 65, of Gallipolis, Ohio, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004.

He was born at Chloe, Oka Road, the son of the late Iris B. and Cora Rinehart Hicks.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Badgett Hicks; three daughters, Flora K. Stapleton, Jody L. Stapleton and Linda M. Hackworth; one son, Andy Hicks; seven grandchildren; two great-grand-children; four brothers, Edward, Carroll, Donnie and Forest Hicks; and four sisters, Frances Waldron, Sue Sampson, Patricia Siers and Margaret Lantz.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Luther Jarrett Hicks, and two sisters, Gwendolyn Simmons and Mary Virnetti Parsons.

Services were held at Kings Chapel Church, with Pastor Mathew Henry officiating. Burial was in Kings Chapel Cemetery.

FOUNTAIN CITY -- Mr. Eugene Dale Badollet, 91, passed away on Monday, March 17, at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital.
Born July 13, 1916, in Vincennes, Ind., he was the son of Lewis and Josie Dayson Badollet. He graduated from Aurora (Ind.) High School in 1934.
He was married to the former Ellen Folke on July 15, 1939, and to this union was born a daughter. Gene and Ellen were inseparable for over 65 years before her death on Jan. 30, 2005.
Mr. Badollet lived most of his adult life in the Fountain City community. He was formerly employed at Crosley, AVCO and Menco in Richmond. He retired from Shawnee Plastics in 1981 as quality control inspector.
He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. He was a Mason for 65 years, serving as Master of Fountain City Lodge 667 in 1947. He enjoyed listening to music and played the guitar and banjo. He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and spending winters in Florida when better health permitted. He was meticulous in all aspects of his life
Mr. Badollet will be missed by his daughter, Joan Denney of Carmel; granddaughter, Erin Denney of Carmel; grandson, Craig Denney and his wife Diane of Noblesville; great-granddaughter, Emily; and his nephew, Mark Brookbank of Fountain City.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Badollet was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Lee Owens.
A funeral ceremony will be conducted by Pastor John Place at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 21, at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home, 321 U.S. 27 South, Fountain City. Interment will follow in Willow Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, at the funeral home with a Masonic memorial ceremony beginning at 7 p.m.

Ellen M. Badollet

FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. -- Ellen M. Badollet, age 87, who resided in Fountain City, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at St. Vincent's Hospice in Indianapolis.

She was born in Dearborn County on June 22, 1917, to Aaron and Alma Hillman Folke and had lived in the Fountain City community most of her life.

She was the former owner operator of Ellen's Beauty Shop, a homemaker and had worked at the Richmond State Hospital. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Richmond, a charter member of the Rodalla Home Extension Club, the Wayne County Home Economics Chorus and was past president of the Fountain City Mother's Club.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Eugene Badollet; a daughter, Joan Denney of Carmel; two grandchildren, Craig Denney, Erin Denney; a great-granddaughter, Emily Denney; and a nephew, Mark Brookbank.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Brookbank.

Funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. in the St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Herb Berry and Pastor John Place officiating. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home.

His Obituary appeared in the Sturgis Daily Journal in Saint Joseph , Michigan White Pigeon: David J. BAECHLER Jr., 30, 109 E. Murray St., died Dec. 2, 1988, at his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1958, in Battle Creek, a son of David J. Sr. and Marlynn C. (ACKLEY) BAECHLER. He was a White Pigeon resident since 1966, coming from Battle Creek, and graduated from White Pigeon High School in 1977. He was on the all-conference football team and a state qualifier for two years in wrestling. During the last year he wrestled, he placed sixth in the state tournament in the heavyweight class. He was employed for one year at Vincente Bach, Elkhart, Ind., and before that as a bartender at the Home Stretch Saloon, White Pigeon, for five years. He attended the Church of Christ in White Pigeon and Sturgis. Surviving are his parents, David Sr. and Marlynn BAECHLER, White Pigeon; one sister, Jodi BRUNDIGE, White Pigeon; two brothers, Jeffrey and Tim BAECHLER, both of White Pigeon; three nieces; one nephew; maternal grandmother, Leona ACKLEY, Battle Creek; Paternal grandparents, Robert and Margaret BAECHLER, Benson, Ariz.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen ACKLEY, in December 1977. Relatives and friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Farrand Funeral Home, White Pigeon, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today and 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Duane Jones, Bangor Christ, officiating. Burial will be in White Pigeon Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the David J. Baechler Jr. Memorial Fund at the White Pigeon Elementary School for playground equipment. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Obituary: Joseph Millard Tyner


Joseph Millard Tyner 3/27/20 ~ 4/7/06 Joseph Millard Tyner, age 86, passed away April 7, 2006, in Salt Lake City, Utah from causes incident to age. He was born in Tremonton, Utah March 27, 1920, to Joseph Millard Tyner and Cleora Merle Haws Tyner. Attended West and South High Schools. He married Elaine Baggs July 10, 1941. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps with the intention of becoming a pilot and was stationed at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. After the war, he returned home with Elaine and settled in Sugarhouse. Later they moved to South Cottonwood/Murray. Joe was a longtime employee of the Newspaper Agency Corp. working more than 60 years until he retired to care for his beloved wife, Elaine. A humble man, he enjoyed his family, golfing, all sports, current events, reading, gardening, especially growing tomatoes, and was always learning. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his favorite calling was as a Primary teacher. He was a caring father and a much loved granddad. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Janell and Floyd Evans; three special grandsons, David (Tonya), Charles, and Elder Aaron Evans, serving in the Mississippi Jackson Mission; one sister, Alice Sandberg, CA. Preceded in death by wife, Elaine; infant daughter, Janis; son, Kent; parents; brothers and sister, Ted, Lynn, and Verda Gay Davison. Funeral services will be held Tues, April 11, 2006, 12 noon at the Butler 8th Ward chapel, 2695 East 7000 South, Cottonwood Heights. Family and friends may visit one hour before services. Internment at Salt Lake City Cemetery. We would like to thank Silverado Senior Living and Hearts for Hospice for their extraordinary care for Dad, ensuring that his last days were comfortable.
