Volunteer for 14 yrs for Kaysville City Fire Dept Elmer LeRoy Morrison Fri, Nov 19, 2004 KAYSVILLE - Elmer LeRoy Morrison, 74, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Davis Hospital.
He was born December 12, 1929 in Seattle, Washington the son of Henry Hendricks and Arvella Kay Morrison.
Elmer attended Bear River High School and had resided in Kaysville for the past 46 years.
He married Diane Grant on December 2, 1952 in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple on February 14, 1997.
Elmer retired after 24 years as a Lieutenant for the Kaysville Police Department. He was a volunteer for 14 years for the Kaysville City Fire Department.
He was a member of the Utah Woodcarvers Association. He liked wood carving and working on a sheep ranch.
Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Diane Grant Morrison, Kaysville; son, Joseph LeRoy Morrison, Coos Bay, Oregon; daughter, Susan Morrison Cowin, Kaysville; four grandchildren, Nicholas Robert Falkner, Kaysville; Daniel John Blankman, Clearfield; PFC Michael Joseph Blankman, Vicenza, Italy; Jillian Morrison, Coos Bay, Oregon; and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, Aldean Woodruff, Kay (Harvey) Ames, Ogden; and Carolyn (Bill) Fisher, Roy.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Loris and sister, Arva.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Gailey Park Second Ward, 350 So. 50 W., Kaysville. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquists Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

Edgar Ellis Westmoreland Ed Westmoreland
GAFFNEY, SC-- Edgar Ellis Westmoreland, 70, of 439 Edgewater Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 809 Waters Street in Shelby, NC.
Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Mary Grant Westmoreland and the son of the late William Scott Westmoreland and Mary Jane Carroll Westmoreland. He was retired from Overnite/UPS as a Supervisor and attended Park Hills Baptist Church.
He was an amateur Cherokee County Ham Radio Operator, an avid fisherman and loved the beach. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Wendy Westmoreland of Shelby, Tabatha Coyle and husband, Floyd of Gaffney, Jan Moody of Spartanburg and Kim Baine and husband, Chris of KY; five grandchildren, Keely Coyle, Dustin Coyle, Autumn Kizora, Dylan Baine and Josie Baine; one great grandchild, Rainy Kizora; three brothers, Bob Westmoreland and wife, Anita of Blacksburg, Larry Westmoreland of Blacksburg and Dean Westmoreland of Gaffney; three sisters, Doris Boheler of Smyrna, Betty Jo Hardin of Antioch, SC and Maxine Deaton of York. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carnell Westmoreland and William Westmoreland; and three sisters, Ruby Martin, Faye Westmoreland and Gaynell Westmoreland.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Blakely Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2009 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Sanders and Rev. Terry Floyd officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Crocker, Alvin Henry, Floyd Coyle, Robbie (Cotton) Guthrie, Chris Baine and Dustin Coyle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Horn, Bobby Eubanks, Jimmy Painter and the Spartanburg County EMS. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Park Hills Baptist Church, 1100 Leadmine Road, Gaffney, SC 29340.
The family will be at the residence, 439 Edgewater Drive, Gaffney, SC.
