SCOTT CITY -- Iva Crist Keyse Carr Scott, 91, died Saturday, March 7, 2007, at her home in Scott City.
She was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Friend to John Eli and Mattie Shores Crist. A lifetime resident of Scott County, she was a homemaker, framer and rancher.
On April 15, 1930, she married Delmar C. Keyse in Trenton, Neb. He died June 19, 1967, in Scott County. Seven years later, she married Myron J. Carr of Los Angeles on Sept. 17, 1974. He died May 7, 1987 in Garden City. Then on March 19, 1994, she married J.B. Scott of San Angelo, Texas. He survives.
Her memberships include the First Christian Church of Scott City, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority -- Beta Tau Chapter in Scott City and EHU in Scott City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, eight brothers and sisters and eight stepbrothers and stepsisters.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, C.H. "Bud" Keyse of Newman, Ga., and Norman Keyse of Scott City; two daughters, Janis R. Whitman of Leoti and Donna Rudolph of Durham, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church in Scott City with Revs. Jeff Knighton and Steve Payne officiating.
Burial will follow at the Prairie View Church of the Brethen Cemetery in Friend.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church and the Scott County Historical Society in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.

She was a school teacher until 1925, then moved to Colorado and was superintendent of schools for 12 years. She died 10 Jun 1985 in Lincoln, NE at the home of her daughter. Obtained from her obituary. My grandmother was her sister.

Brenda Lee Falls, 45, of Hurst, Texas, and formerly of Springfield, died Saturday, March 4, 2006.

Graveside services were conducted Friday, March 10, at 11 a.m. in the Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Brad Shockley officiating.

Mrs. Falls was born May 11, 1960, in Robertson County to the late John F. and Oberlen Hilliard Johnson.

She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Falls, and by her brother, Johnny Johnson.

Mrs. Falls is survived by sons, Phillip Stevenson of Merritt Island, Fla., J.R. Carrow of Lawrenceburg; daughters, Misty and Sunshine Carrow, both of Upland, Calif.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joey and Wanda Johnson of Springfield, Frankie and Pru Johnson of Pocahontas, Ark., and Jeffery Johnson of Nashville; sister and brother-in-law: Patricia and Larry Gregory of Cedar Hill; and seven grandchildren.

General Notes: Wife -

Lora Mae Jones Carson, a long-time resident of College Park, Ga., formerly of Gaffney, died at Flesher's Fairview Health Care Center in Fairview, N.C., on April 24. Born in 1901, she was the eldest daughter and sole survivor of the eight children of Lorena Hughes Jones and Thomas Eugene Jones of Fountain Inn. A graduate of Greenville Woman's College (now Furman University), she continued graduate studies at Duke University and Columbia University. She taught at Greenville Woman's College Academy, and later in Clayton County, Ga., public schools until age 71. She served as an officer in Georgia Retired Teacher's Association and the American Association of University Women, and as president of the South Carolina Club and various local organizations. She was married in 1925 to Louis Frederick Carson, who died in 1993. Her four brothers, Conway, Paul, Arthur and Abner Jones; as well as her three sisters, Elizabeth Kyzer, Nancy Givens and Ethel Swink, preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Louis Frederick Carson Jr., of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; two daughters, Allein Stanley of Statesville, N.C., and Carole Larivee of Waynesville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cryptside services will be held at 2 p.m. at Cannon Memorial Park Mausoleum today, April 26, 2002, in Fountain Inn. Cannon Funerals and Cremations, Fountain Inn.
