Dorothy Buss Westmacott 1918-2002 DODGE CITY - Dorothy Buss Westmacott, 83, died June 20. She was born Nov. 30, 1918 at Ellinwood, the daughter of Wes and Emma Kahler Buss. She married James R. Westmacott. He died in 1972. A resident of Dodge City, coming from Salina, she was a homemaker. Survivors include one stepson, John Westmacott of Dodge City, and three grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Church of Christ Cemetery in Holyrood. Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary in Salina. DAUGHTER: Weston Democrat, The (Sep/23/2004): Genevieve Cook Genevieve Cook, 92, died at 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2004 in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an extended illness. She was born in Lewis County July 7, 1912, the daughter of the late William Butcher and Emma (Bonnett) Butcher. On April 13, 1929, she married Ordie C. Cook, who preceded her in death August 18, 1987. In addition, she was preceded in death by 8 brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Cook is survived by one daughter, Juanita Coger and husband, Vernon of Weston; one son, Thomas J. Cook of Jane Lew; three grandchildren, Janice Waters, and husband, Bill, Kimberlee Ann Cook and Danny K. Cook and wife, Cindy; two great-grandchildren, Troy and Kyle Cook; and several nieces and nephews. She was a housewife and Baptist by faith. Funeral services were held September 20 from the Floyd Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Perrine officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Weston

General Notes: Husband -

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the beginning of the First World War in 1916, and entered the Fleet Reserve April 1, 1937, having served nearly twenty-one years. They began their married life in San Diego, but he was later stationed in the Hawaiian Islands and they lived in Honolulu. They came back to West Virginia in the summer of 1937 and he was employed by Dupont Chemical Company at Belle, W.Va. Their home was in Charleston until he was called back into the service in the Navy in 1942.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Nettie E. Miller were held Sunday
Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie E. Miller, 88, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov 20, 1960, in the Reiser funeral home, Aledo, with the Rev. Kenneth Young, pastor of the Assembly of God church, officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
Paullbearers were Charles and Ralph Butcher, R. C. Lewis, Perry Whitney and Everett Dahl. The organist was Mrs. Arthur Olson.
Born in Perryton, Mrs. Miller was the former Nettie Gorman and was born Dec 29, 1871 in Perryton. She was educated in rural schools
On Feb 14 1898, she was married to Otis Butcher, who died Nov 12 1904. In 1923 she was married to Thomas Miller in Aledo. He died in 1929.
She was a member of the Perryton Presbyterian Church, the Sunbonnet club and the Rebekah lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Vance and Mrs Alta Mitchell, both of Aledo; a son Vern Butcher of Tucson, Ariz; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Sharp and Mrs. William Babcock, both of Reynolds; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, four sisters and two brothers.
