From Fish to Birds new for 2006

 

Charles Hitchcock was born in Dedham in Essex in 1791. Charles was a Fishmonger and the Hitchcock family were to be Fishmongers and Grocers for generations.

One very famous Hitchcock was Alfred Hitchcock b 1899 in Leytonstone. He was to become one of the most famous Film Producer/Director ever. (That’s where the birds came in did you missed it?)

He was the great grandson of Charles born 1791 and his wife Sarah.
