     1.  Joseph Shurtleff1 Bartlett (John, #2) was born on 14 Apr 1796 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA. He married Amanda F. Porter, daughter of John Porter and Lucy Hopkins, on 11 May 1828 at Williamson, TN. He married Martha J. Hill on 19 Dec 1867 at Todd, KY.

     He appeared on the census of 1830 -1840 Williamson County, TN; 1850-1860 Washington County, AR; 1870 Todd County, KY. He was listed among Methodist missionary/teachers in Cherokee Schools in Indian Territory (Oklahoma) in 1847, with a  salary of $333.33 1/2 for each of 2 yearly sessions.[1] He died on 25 Aug 1875 at Todd, KY, at age 79. He was buried at McColpin Cemetery, near Allegre, Todd, KY.

     2.  John2 Bartlett (Joseph, #4) was born on 19 Feb 1748/49 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA. He married Bathsheba Shurtleff (see #3), daughter of Joseph Shurtleff and Sarah Nelson, on 16 May 1771 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA. He died in Dec 1820 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA, at age 71.[2] He was buried in 1820 at Ancient Burial Ground, adjoining present Unitarian Church, Kingston, Plymouth County, MA.

     He was Congregational. According to church records he died of "chronic sore legs."[3]

She died of consumption 19 Apr 1812 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA, at age 59.  BURIAL:Ancient Burial Ground, Kingston, MA.

He married Sarah Seabury, daughter of Samuel Seaberry and Deborah Wiswall, on 22 Sep 1774 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA. He died of strangury on 6 Jun 1783 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA, at age 76.

     5.  Dorothy3 Wadsworth (John, #10) was born on 25 Jun 1710 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA. She married Joseph Bartlett (see #4), son of Ichabod Bartlett and Elizabeth Waterman, on 25 Dec 1729 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA. She died on 16 Dec 1773 at Kingston, Plymouth County, MA, at age 63.

 

 

     6.  Joseph3 Shurtleff (Abiel, #12) was born on 22 Jan 1715/16 at Plymouth County, MA. He married Sarah Nelson (see #7), daughter of Samuel Nelson and Bathsheba Nichols, on 9 Dec 1742 at Plymouth County, MA. He died in 1755 at at sea.[15]

     On 2 Oct 1755 Sarah Shurtleff, widow, was appointed administratrix of the estate of her husband Joseph Shurtleff, mariner.[16]

     7.  Sarah3 Nelson (Samuel, #14) was born on 28 Mar 1716 at Plymouth County, MA.[19] She married Seth Cobb on 20 Apr 1736 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, MA.[20] She married Joseph Shurtleff (see #6), son of Abiel Shurtleff and Lydia Barnes, on 9 Dec 1742 at Plymouth County, MA. She died in Mar 1809 at Stockbridge, Berkshire, MA.[21]

     8.  Ichabod4 Bartlett (Benjamin, #16) was born after Sep 1670 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, MA. He married Elizabeth Waterman (see #9), daughter of Joseph Waterman and Sarah Snow, on 28 Dec 1699 at Marshfield, Plymouth County, MA. He married Desire Arnold on 14 Nov 1709. He died circa Dec 1716 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA.

     Ancient Landmarks of Plymouth. Marshfield Vital Records, pp 25,43,44,352.  He chose as his guardian in 1691 his uncle Joseph Bartlett.  He would then be over 14 and under 21. In May 1695 he sold land so would have to have been at least 21 at that time.  His birth date therefore must fall between September 1670 and May 1674.

She married Ichabod Bartlett (see #8), son of Benjamin Bartlett and Sissillia (--?--), on 28 Dec 1699 at Marshfield, Plymouth County, MA. She died in Oct 1708 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA, at age 29.

 

 

     10.  John4 Wadsworth (John, #20) was born on 12 Mar 1671/72 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA. He married Mercy Wiswall (see #11), daughter of Ichabod Wiswall and Priscilla Pabodie, on 25 Jan 1704/5 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA.      16.  Benjamin5 Bartlett (Robert, #32) was born before 6 Jun 1633 at Plymouth, Plymouth County, MA.[33] He married Susannah Jenny before 4 Apr 1654 at Duxbury, Plymouth County, MA.[34] He married Sarah Brewster, daughter of Love Brewster and Sarah Collier, circa 1656.[35] He married Sissillia (--?--) (see #17) before 21 Jan 1677/78. He died between the 21st of August 1691 when his will was written and the 28th of August 1691 when the inventory was taken.[36]

     18.  Joseph5 Waterman (Robert, #36) was born in 1649 at Marshfield, Plymouth County, MA. He married Sarah Snow (see #19), daughter of Anthony Snow and Abigail Warren, before 1674. He died on 1 Jan 1711/12 at Marshfield, Plymouth County, MA.
