Robert
Robinson's Will made on 27 January 1814 records him as a gentleman of Bridgehouses in the
parish of Sheffield. His Will mentions four sons - Richard, George,
Jonathan and
Charles and a daughter Sarah. He also mentions his son in law Jonathan Marshall
the husband of his deceased daughter Sarah as well as the two children of Sarah and
Jonathan. His wife Sarah was also living in 1814. She was to receive the income
derived from dividends and interest as well as the "household furniture and
matters of housekeeping to use and enjoy during her natural life". No
mention is made of his children Ann, John or Mary and it is likely that they had
died before this date.
Robert died on 18 August
1815. The burial register for Sheffield Cathedral records that he was a silver
plater of Bridgehouses, Brightside Bierlow, aged 69.
