Services are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home (Boise). Military Honors will be provided by Fleet Reserve Assoc. #382.
Mr. Lynskey was born April 2, 1921, at Norma, N.D. He was raised and educated in Texas and Oklahoma. Clive moved to Melba in 1939. He joined the U.S. Navy in December of 1941. He served in the South Pacific as Chief Torpedo Man during World War ll. He retired after 23 years of service. He then moved to Boise and went to work for the Boise Indep. School Dist. Clive married Catherine F. Barriatua on Oct 8, 1971. He had since reside in Boise.
He was a past commander VFW Post 4000 Meridian. two years; a member of Fleet Reserve Assoc. Branch 382, ten years; and a member of the Baptist Church in Oklahoma.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine F. Lynskey of Boise; a daughter, Linda Guiles of Merdian; two sons, John Barriatua of Huntington Beach, Ca, and Mike Barriatua of Boise. three brothers, Derold Lynskey of Boise, Otis Lynskey of Melba and Bruce Lysnkey of Nampa; a sister, Ione Fine of Melba; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, a brother, Lowell, and a niece, Barbara Fine Wold, died earlier.
Memorials maybe made to Nat. Foundation for Cancer Reseach, or favorite charity.4

Nampa- Derold E. Lynsky, 70, of Nampa, died Tuesday, Feb 23, 1988, in a Nampa Care Center.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sat, Feb 27, in Hillcrest Momorial Gardens, Caldwell. The Rev. Archie Thornton of Boise will officiate, under direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
Mr. Lynskey, a retied law enforcement officer, was born Nov. 4, 1917, at Norma, N.D. He moved with his family to Melba in 1939. He served in the Army Air corps during World War ll, and in the Us.Air Force during the Korean War. He married Ada M. Glover on March 2, 1945, at Raton,N.M. After his discharge, they moved to Bellingham, Wa, where he was employed with the Bellingham transit Company. He entered law enforcement in 1953, first with the Nampa Police Department, then the Canyon County Sheriff's Office, and later with the Idaho State Police. He later was Valley County Sheriff at Cascade, retiring in January of 1977. He was a security guard for First Security Bank from October of 1977 to December of 1982.
He was a lifetime member of the Idaho-Oregon Peace Officer's associaton. the national Sheriff's association; and was named to who's who in Government in 1977-78.
Survivor's include his wife Ada of Boise;' four sons, Gary of Belvidere,Ill., Marlin of Boise, Rick of Coeur d' Alene, and Alan of Nampa; two brothers, Otis of Melba, and Bruce of Nampa; a sister, Ione Fine of Melba; and numerous nieces and Nephews, His parents; two brother, Lowell, died earlier.
Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa from 5 to 9 p.m. today; 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday; and 9 a. m to noon Saturday or may meet at the cemetery for services.

All properties situated in Rewiti to my two sons Daniel Lyons and Thomas Henry Lyons both of Rewiti as tenants in common in equal shares and all property in Auckland or elsewhere for my daughter Catherine Lyons absolutely and I direct that as from the date of my death my two said sons shall permit my said daughter to lodge in the house situate on my property at Rewiti as long as she shall choose to lodge and that my said sons shall from the date of my death pay to my said daughter for so long as she live the sum of 3 pounds per week which payment shall be a charge on the lands at Rewiti hereby devised in trust for my said sons.

I further direct that in the event of both or either of my daughters Ellen Vera (now Sister Phillippa of the order of Sisters of Mercy) and Johanna Cecilia (now Sister Edmund of the order of Sisters of Mercy) leaving the said order within the space of five years from the date of this Will my said sons shall provide them or the one so leaving with board and lodging in the house situate on my said lands at Rewiti for so long as she or they may choose to live therein and as to any residue of my real or personal property I give devise and bequeath to my trustees for my daughter Catherine absolutely.

I appoint Thomas Loughman of Woodhill, farmer and Thomas Francis Moore, of the same place, farmer, jointly the executors and trustees of this Will.

A Codicil dated 13 June 1921 revokes Thomas Moore as a trustee and appoints his sons Edward Lyons and Daniel Lyons as trustees with Thomas Loughman.

The wedding of Miss Eileen Dorothy Tuohy, eldest daughter of Mrs. J. Tuohy, took place last evening at St. Patrick's Cathedral, when she was married to Mr Daniel Lyons, eldest son of Mr. D. Lyons and the late Mrs. Lyons of Rewiti. Captain Sillars gave the bride away, her gown being of air force blue georgette over coral pink accordion pleated georgette, the hem of the skirt being vandycked in beautifully worked beads. Her hat of pink georgette was uncommonly combined with gold lace, and she carried a pink and white shower bouquet. The bride also wore a beautiful fox fur. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Molly Tuohy, who wore a charming gown of Burgundy rinp velvet bound with brown fur. A jabot of sandust pleated crepe de chine was on the bodice, the felt hat trimmed with ribbons of the same colour. The shower bouquet was of dainty autumn flowers. Mr. H. Parry was best man. The bridegroom's brother. Rev. Father Lyons, performed the ceremony.

All properties situated in Rewiti to my two sons Daniel Lyons and Thomas Henry Lyons both of Rewiti as tenants in common in equal shares and all property in Auckland or elsewhere for my daughter Catherine Lyons absolutely and I direct that as from the date of my death my two said sons shall permit my said daughter to lodge in the house situate on my property at Rewiti as long as she shall choose to lodge and that my said sons shall from the date of my death pay to my said daughter for so long as she live the sum of 3 pounds per week which payment shall be a charge on the lands at Rewiti hereby devised in trust for my said sons.

I further direct that in the event of both or either of my daughters Ellen Vera (now Sister Phillippa of the order of Sisters of Mercy) and Johanna Cecilia (now Sister Edmund of the order of Sisters of Mercy) leaving the said order within the space of five years from the date of this Will my said sons shall provide them or the one so leaving with board and lodging in the house situate on my said lands at Rewiti for so long as she or they may choose to live therein and as to any residue of my real or personal property I give devise and bequeath to my trustees for my daughter Catherine absolutely.

I appoint Thomas Loughman of Woodhill, farmer and Thomas Francis Moore, of the same place, farmer, jointly the executors and trustees of this Will.

A Codicil dated 13 June 1921 revokes Thomas Moore as a trustee and appoints his sons Edward Lyons and Daniel Lyons as trustees with Thomas Loughman.

Obituary3 February 1921Obituary of Mr John Lyons, a well-known farmer of Rewiti, died at his residence on Thursday last, 21st ult., after a long and and painful illness, at the age of 34 years. The body was brought into Helensville by train on the following Saturday. There were a large number of settlers present and the Rev. Father Bleakley officiated at the graveside.
On Sunday next the services at the Catholic Church, Helensville will be taken by Rev Father Edward Lyons, who is a native of the parish, having been born at Rewiti. Father Lyons was only recently ordained, and is temporarily in charge of the parish of Puhoi. Kaipara and Waitemata Echo, 3 Feb 1921, page 2.

I further direct that in the event of both or either of my daughters Ellen Vera (now Sister Phillippa of the order of Sisters of Mercy) and Johanna Cecilia (now Sister Edmund of the order of Sisters of Mercy) leaving the said order within the space of five years from the date of this Will my said sons shall provide them or the one so leaving with board and lodging in the house situate on my said lands at Rewiti for so long as she or they may choose to live therein and as to any residue of my real or personal property I give devise and bequeath to my trustees for my daughter Catherine absolutely.

I appoint Thomas Loughman of Woodhill, farmer and Thomas Francis Moore, of the same place, farmer, jointly the executors and trustees of this Will.

A Codicil dated 13 June 1921 revokes Thomas Moore as a trustee and appoints his sons Edward Lyons and Daniel Lyons as trustees with Thomas Loughman.
