"...31st July 1618, the clan McKeiy, viz--Neil mcKay in Grimsay for himself and taken burden on him for Neil na ban McKay his sone, and they bath [both] take burden for Donald Mcneill Moir Mckay, Angus McNeill Oig McKay, Donald Glass McKay, etc..."

Book of McKee, pg 119, excerpted from "David McKee and Descendants" states that Hugh died childless.
Super Will Index gives two Hugh will dates: 1800 and 1802 in Saintfield. Ediitors have assumed this one to be his.
MIC 637/9 Section 3 under Irish Students at Glasgow Colleges 1730-1822 states:
"1771 M'Kee, Hugh, 3rd son of James, farmer, Minr of Drumbo, 1776-81, when he demitted."
Copy of booklet from Frank Fox, 229 Belfast Road, Ballynahinch, county Down, No Ireland BT248UP states: "Another son of James McKee, of Tullywest, was Hugh, who got a farm in the townland of Crevytenant, about a mile from his father's towards Ballynahinch, where his great grandson Hugh McKee, who had married a Miss Gill, died childless about the year 1880, and the farm passed out of the family name."
