[2820] O'Hart's "Irish Pedigrees" states Criomhthan is Irish for a fox, a quo O'Criomhthainne, anglicised to Griffin, was King of Orgiall and gray-haired -- an old man -- when St Patrick came to Christianize Ireland. He had five sons.
