King of Scotland 876-8, per The Book of McKee, pg 407 - gives death as 878 A History of the Scottish Highlands (941 H2k, pg 49) stated he succeeded his brother, but was wounded in a battle fought at Strathallan, carried to Inverurie, where he died, after lingering two months, having held the sceptre only one year, died 882.
"Robert the Bruce, King of Scots" by Ronald McNair Scott gives death as 878 and spells given name Aedh
http://www.geocities.com/craigs_kahunas/report_duncan.htm Niall Mor Noighiallach 126th Monarch of Ireland gives his name as Aedh (Ethus) Swift-Foot of Scotland and states he was crowned 877 and died 878 in the battle of Strathallan and was buried in Maiden Stone, Aberdeenshire. He had two known children.

[11519] O'Hart's "Irish Pedigrees", p 671 says "daimh" means a learned man or poet, and "airgid" means wealth or money. He "was so called from the many presents and gifts of silver and gold he usually bestowed and gave away to all sorts of people." He had many sons.
