[11155] "An Historical...Clanna Rory..." states she was Macha of the red or golden tresses, who laid the foundation of the palace of Emhain or Emania, in the County of Armagh, where her consort Ciombaoth, died of plague. According to the Irish Senachie this residence of the subsequent kings of Ultonia of the Irian race, derived its name from Queen Macha's having marked out the area of the building by the Ea-mhuin or neckpin, which fastened her falluiing or mantle.

[3385] History of the Lands and Their Owners in Galloway, v. 3, p 19 states that his daughter Marion was the only child and his heir by 23rd July 1630. Peebleses were for long merchant burgesses of Irvine (Paterson's "Ayrshire.") He probably died considerably earlier, since Barbara Jamieson Peebles must have married Alexander Stewart and had children before 1616.
