[5831] History of the Lands and Their Owners in Galloway, FHL 941.49 H2m, v. 3, p 198 states that Thomas Levenax was designated of King's Plumtoun in 1547. "The first found [in possession of Pluntoun] is Thomas Levenax, ...His descent is not given, but that he was a younger son of William Lennox, second of Callie, can scarcely be doubted." The next owner of the land after John M'Ghie was Thomas Levenax of King's Plumtoun in 1547. Since Blanch Levenax was John's mother, it is likely that she was Thomas Levenax's aunt, and he inherited from her. On 10 Nov 1567 Thomas Levenax de Kingis-Pluntoun granted a charter of the nine merk land of Pluntoun to this natural son Andrew. It is likely Thomas never married, but he left another son, Donald.
