[3269] History of the Lands and Their Owners in Galloway, p 421 states Andrew's father died in 1505 in his 55th year, when he succeeded. He is stated to have been careless in his affairs, and had to sell Dreighmorn to the Crawfurds of Drumsay, under reversion, and held by them for two or three generations.

[11608] A History of the Descendants of David McKee, of Anahilt states George came to the U.S. in 1838 with his father. "Arriving in Pittsburgh with his father October 31, 1838, he began work November 2, at $1 per day. He soon after entered on his apprenticeship as a carpenter. Becoming a journeyman, he spent part of '43 and '44 in Kentucky at this trade. Marrying on his return, he made his home in Pittsburgh, and has been in business there ever since, chiefly as carpenter and contractor. In '85 he visited Ireland for a few months. His home is in Pittsburgh, Thirty-seventh street, near Butler street." (Children - James M, Robert M, Mary, Clara)
