[3517] Two Margarets were christened in Santan in 1713--one 22 Feb 1713 to Robert Fargher and Margt Cain Fargher, and one 28 Aug 1713 to Thomas Fargher and Ann Cubbon Fargher. Although the Ancestral File lists the latter as the Margaret who married Patrick Cowley, the will of Margrett Fargher als Cain of Kirk St. Ann (1742{2/63} Santan FHL #106218) names "son in law Patrick Cowley," proving the parents are Robert Fargher and Margt Cain, and the Ancestral File is in error.

First Cousin Rev Samuel Edgar married Hugh's daughter Elizabeth 1794; Robert Edgar accompanied Hugh (her grandfather) from Scotland to serve with King William at Battle of Boyne in 1690
Copy of booklet from Frank Fox, 229 Belfast Road, Ballynahinch, county Down, No Ireland BT248UP lists her given name as "Margaret (Mrs. Edgar.)" p 17 "Margaret, the daughter of John, of Lisban, married a farmer named Edgar. He seems to have been a fine carpenter as well, for at the time of his brother-in-law Hugh mcKee's marriage, he made for him a chest of drawers, which are still in Poagsburn house, and used as the safe deposit of the family. One of Margaret's sons became the celebrated Rev. Samuel
Edgar, D.D., LL.D. of Ballynahinch, and professor of Diviinity for the Secession Synod."
